First TCUMC Virtual General Assembly and Induction

On the 4th of December, 2021, the TCUMC officers and officials have conducted their first virtual general assembly and induction ceremony through zoom meeting. They emphasized the theme “Building Connections and Sustaining Leadership Skills in the New Normal” to which their objective is to inform the new freshmen students and refresh the memory of the senior students of the rules and regulations of the Taguig City University Math Club and build the camaraderie between the members even in a virtual setting. The programme started with Prof. Maria Cristina Reyes stating the welcome remarks provided by Prof. Flordeliza Ferrer. Followed by the inspirational message given by Dr. Jenifer E. Tolang, stating that she was also inspired by Math since it has been one of the first majors here in Taguig City University. The TCUMC officers have given their oath-taking with Prof. Maria Cristina Reyes on behalf of Prof. Flordeliza Ferrer. The dedication of the officers came raring on the microphone as they swore to do the duties and responsibilities of the position appointed to them. They also presented their action plans for the S.Y. 2021-2022 reported by Sir Darwin Bangkiray, the TCUMC President, and the accomplishment report from the previous school year reported by Ma’am Elijah Maryse Ganal, the TCUMC VP-External.

It was not only the TCUMC officers that has received the spotlight during that glorious day, but there were also some students who showcased their talents during the event. Clarence Beatrice Nerona showed her talent in singing, Geselle Golingan slayed the people with her dancing, and TikToks of Math Majors were displayed. Meanwhile the Class Officers per year level was also introduced, with their information exposed to all the students to see. The TCUMC officers also presented their project called Your Skills, Your Team, prepared by Ma’am Rose Ann San Juan, the TCUMC VP-Internal where the different teams with different skills and talents. Sir Marco Betoya, the TCUMC 3rd Year PIO, Sir John Michael Mercado, the TCUMC 2nd Year PIO, and Anthony Fenete, a 4th Year student, has flaunted their infomercial to the students to inspire them as they go through their journey in the TCUMC community. Prof. Monemar Velez, the program chair of BSE-Mathematics has given a short message to the members continuing to inspire the students to do more projects and programs in the future. Lastly, Sir Darwin Bangkiray, the current TCUMC President has given his closing remarks saying thanks to all the professors and officers for a successful presentation and event.
With the efforts of Prof. Flordeliza Ferrer, the current TCUMC adviser, and the TCUMC officers, the General Assembly and Induction Ceremony was eventful and successful. They have left the students of the TCUMC community inspired and raring for another school year full of plans, activities, and events. The event has successfully delivered their theme which is to build connection and sustain leadership skills within the new normal.
